PRK; Real Patient Experience

Ever since I started wearing glasses at the age of 10 I’ve been dreaming of getting rid of them by the means of a laser surgery, but qualifying for one not as easy as it sounds. You need to be at least 18 years old and sustain no noticeable change in vision for a couple of years. Finally at the age of 29 the stars have aligned in my universe and I’m scheduled for Photo-Refractive Keratectomy (PRK) on August 4, 2011. Being a true geek I would like to share my experience with those interested in laser vision correction. In this blog I will be keeping up the timeline of my recovery period along with any remarks and observations I’ve found to be worth mentioning.

Southwest Airlines Case Study

Southwest Airlines is a successful player in the challenging airline industry.  Over the years, airlines all around our country have suffered challenges that have eventually driven many to bankruptcy and even closures in some cases.  Southwest has remained profitable over all of this time.  How did they achieve this?   We will answer this question by explaining why Southwest has been successful over so many years, showing the significance of their 10-15 minute turnaround time at the terminal, and finally discussing the challenges that Southwest is facing in the future and how they can overcome them.

Cowboys VS Indians

Native American culture, just like any culture, has the right to exist in our world today, but there is no universal singular Native culture. There is a great deal of diversity among Native nations, and there are some major differences between “them” and “us”. Being a “native” Russian I wanted to compare the two civilizations and figure out for myself which one would I prefer to stick to. I’m going to talk about time management, money savings, competition and harmony with the nature, and what they mean for each civilization.
